From her Northern California studio overlooking a bountiful
garden, Brenda Walton creates a diverse range of licensed
products, from rubber stamp and stationery collections to
dessertware and accessories for the home and garden.
Growing up in a home filled with music, laughter and ongoing
creative projects, itšs understandable that Brenda developed
a passion for living a colorful and exuberant life.
An art major in college, Brenda traveled to London, New York,
Los Angeles, Rome, and San Francisco to further her studies
in calligraphy and painting. In 1979, she and her husband,
Doug Peckham, launched a small design enterprise which has
since expanded to include an ever-widening range of products
for the home and garden. Her top selling gift and stationery
collections for Schurman Fine Papers are available worldwide.
A long-time avid stamper, Brendašs affiliation with Plaid/All
Night Media began shortly after she admired a retail display
of stamp products and decided to contact the company with
concepts for possible additions to its line. Since that time,
Brenda has designed numerous individual stamps and stamp sets
as well as brass stencils and Counted Cross Stitch sets all
inspired by her love of gardening, her appreciation of the
value of enduring friendships, and her fondness for European
country themes.
Brenda considers herself very fortunate to have made a successful
career doing what she loves most painting, lettering, and
playing with color and pattern. She encourages others who
dream of pursuing an arts related career to focus on their
unique innate talents and strengths, and to maintain a support
system of family and friends, who in turn will provide an
endless source of inspiration.
