Our Core Ambassador Team is up to the challenege of educating
these and other groups. The team is comprised of 25 crafters from
across the country. Their job is to educate crafters on new ways
to use our products and find out what directions they would like
to see us take our products in the future. Our Ambassadors regularly
teach classes and workshops in their own communities and beyond.
They've even traveled as far as Spain and South America to demonstrate
Plaid products.
In
the Community
Plaid Creative Group works extensively in our local community,
with a special focus on women's causes. Women's issues are especially
important to us since women makeup the majority of our employees
and customers. From childhood education to domestic violence to
breast cancer, Plaid employees work hard for our causes. Just take
a look…
- Plaid Creative Group has been recognized by the State of Georgia
for our work in teaching English as a Second Language to employees
at our manufacturing facilities.
- Company employees "adopted" the Gwinnett County Battered Women's
Shelter in Norcross, GA. In an effort to create a warm and inviting
environment for the women, our helpers decorated the shelter with
stencils, blocks and other products.

- Teams of employees begin raising money for the American Cancer
Society's Relay
for Life months in advance. Through bake sales, crazy hat
days, putting contests and more, our employees put their best
foot forward in the relay for a cure.
- Every holiday season, Plaid Creative Group sponsors the Children's
Healthcare of Atlanta's Festival of Trees to encourage fundraising
work in the area of childhood illness.
- Breast cancer has struck close to home many times here at Plaid.
In support of our employees, mothers, daughters, and friends who
have suffered from this disease, we are continually raising funds
for this cause. We support the Susan
G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation through advertising and
sponsorships, and we promote the use of Breast Cancer Research
Stamps, available at your local post office.
